Buying Tickets

Viewing an Event:

  • After clicking on an Event from Search bar results, the Events page, or an Organizer page, details for said event will appear.
  • If the Event is upcoming, and depending on how it was configured, you may be able to place an order for Tickets immediately, or be required to enter a Password to begin.
  • Organizers may also share a special link to the Event, that could show Ticket Types that are normally hidden from being purchased.

Placing Your Order:

  • Events normally allow 15 minutes to complete an order, but Organizers can configure different amounts of time.
  • "Completing an order" must be done in two steps, within the alloted time, and without leaving or refreshing the page:
    • Step 1: Ticket selection and Customer information
      • Build your order by adding quantities from one or more Ticket Types.
      • Enter the Customer Name, Email, and Phone Number.
      • Optional: click a checkbox to indicate if you want to create an EVENTBay account after successful purchase.
      • Click a checkbox to confirm your order and customer information is correct before proceeding to Step 2 (your choices in Step 1 will be locked and you cannot change them without starting over).
    • Step 2: Credit Card payment
      • By this point, your selected ticket quantities from Step 1 will be reserved until the session ends or payment is successful.
      • Please note that if your order was free, Step 2 will be automatically completed without needing to enter credit card information.
      • Enter valid credit card number, expiration date, security number, and postal code.
      • Complete the extra security step to authorize payment (if your credit card requires it).
      • You can enter different credit card information in the same session if payment fails.
  • After completing your order, you will receive Invoice and Ticket emails, then be redirected to view your new order online.

More Notes About Ticket Types:

  • Ticket Types may have extra notes depending on how they were configured:
    • "Add-Ons are available"
      • If you add tickets of this Type into your order, you can purchase extra Add-Ons for them.
    • "Generates X tickets ea."
      • This Ticket Type is a package deal, and will give you X tickets for each package in your order.
    • "Generates NO tickets"
      • This Ticket Type will still appear on your order, but you will receive no tickets for Organizers to redeem.
    • "Unlocked using exclusive link"
      • This Ticket Type can only be purchased if the customer was given a special link.
